With the Women's World Cup going on in Germany right now I thought I'd post one of my images dealing with soccer. I also wanted to show the pieces I used to get to the final image. The portrait was shot in my family room with a light kit and a brown sheet as my backdrop. A couple weeks later I was getting into my car after an assignment and saw some games going on, so I shot a couple of the lights hoping they might work. I did the image in both color and black and white. I like both but prefer the black and white image. Go USA!!!

Jimmer -- Teach Me How To Jimmer
I work for BYU's newspaper The Daily Universe. I had the opportunity to cover a half dozen basketball games this season. It was an amazing experience. Anyway, with the NBA draft last week I thought it would be fun to post some images of him from this past year. Congratulations, Jimmer Fredette.
BYU Basketball 2011
I started getting photographs together of Jimmer and I immediately knew that I wanted to include images of the rest of the team. So here they are:
As a convert to BYU basketball this year I thoroughly enjoyed covering the games (they've always been my number three team: 1. UNLV, 2. Whoever is playing Duke, and 3. BYU, but this year I jumped on the bandwagon and was with them all the way). I must thank the two missionaries, Jimmer and Jackson, on giving me a team to root for as my Running Rebels talked too much smack but couldn't back anything up. Congratulations to the team on a great season. It was amazing working in the Marriott Center this year, I thank the fans for coming to each game with so much enthusiasm and excitement.
And for those wondering, I have always been a BYU football fan. That has never changed, and it never will.
